Stupid Question about debit cards

Hi

My debit card is due to expire the end of november, the Bank of Scotland have already sent me my new one and want me to activate it ive got 2 stupid questions though.

1. if i activate my new one will my old one still be active till the end of november and

2. does it have the same pin number?

Thanks a lot for your help :ji tried talking to the bank of scotland but ..... it was like talking to the back of someones head.

I would cut up your old card though, account details can be got from cards.
