Really daft hd dvd question

Hi there
Am going to ask a really daft question now  (sorry)
I purchased a really cheap hd dvd but am not able to play it on my dvd player. Is an hd dvd not compatible with a standard dvd player??

Sorry to be so clueless
J

  • HD DVD is a different format to DVD, so won't play on a DVD player. you may be able to get a cheap HD DVD player as this is essentially now a dead format
Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.
  • Some hd dvd's were made hd on one side and regular DVD on the other, don't suppose it's one of them is it?
Nothing to see here, move along.
