are you a member of a camera / photographic club? maybe there are members considering selling theirs?
my local club has a forum where they buy / sell second-hand equipment0 -
Never heard of cropping photos? More mp means more crop-ability... and it's not a piddly small sensor, so you aren't picking up a load of noise
1mp won't get you a very big canvas without a lot of pixilation.. here's some recommended canvas resolution guides: http://www.thecanvasartfactory.com/Your%20photo%20on%20canvas.html0 -

Firstly, your posting name is very masculine.
Secondly, if you are such an experienced photographer, the tone & content of your OP certainly doesn't reflect that.
rainbow carnage is masculine? it's a line from a film about a transsexual punk rocker...
which part of my original post are you referring to? i wasn't asking advice on which camera to buy. i was asking how do i make sure that i don't get ripped off by a dishonest seller. that has nothing to do with being an experienced photographer.
i've bought lenses second-hand before, but not a digital camera. that doesn't mean that i don't know how to use one, or the difference between a cheap one and an expensive one.0 -
