hiya,
was wondering if anyone who works for TCO could answer a ??? for me.
Tax year 07/08 I earned £6600 I think it was.
This tax year I am earning around £3500 - £3700
I havent changed any earnings for this tax year have left it as last tax years income.
I am going on Mat leave in Dec but getting MA so I know I cant deduct the £100 for every maternity week during that tax year.
I was just wondering , my new baby is due in Feb. So I will declare him/her when its is born. And that figure will be based on the £6600.
So in April when I do my renewal with my P60, will I incurr an underpayment.
And if yes. How much roughly?
I doubt I will have an overpayment. I wont will I?
Thanks x

If you earn less than you did previously you wont have an overpayment.
Unfortunately you wont have much of an underpayment either as the income threshold is £6420 so until you earn this amount your award was not reduced.
If you were to get an underpayment it would be a maximum of £70.
You dont declare any of the MA, you would only declare SMP. You would only deduct £100 p/w if you received your salary and/or SMP.0 -
thank you.
At least I can be sure now it wont be an overpayment.
even a little underpayment would be nice0
