I am going to throttle someone at Ecotricity...
....if they don't sort out their ruddy billing system.
I've just had a bill from them and noticed that a) it's for six months instead of three months b) it's 21 days out on the billing period from the last one and c) both previous and current meter readings are estimated, which is odd because I always read my meter when I get a bill and get a revised one sent.
I've just rung up to find there is a bill for 21 days of electric dated 21st May which hasn't been paid. Not only have I never received the bill, but I've never had any reminders either. Hence the gap in billing times and estimated previous reading on the current bill.
Even the women on customer services couldn't understand why the system generated a bill 21 days after the last one and then waited six months before billing me again. I should have had a bill in July.
Luckily, despite the bill being unpaid for five months it hasn't been sent to a debt collector, so now I'm waiting for two bills to be sent to me to check the right meter readings and to pay.
I went with Ecotricity because I like them as a company and what they stand for, but at this rate I'm going to end up with mark against me on my credit record. I'm going to have to change energy suppliers.
