    Any ideas???

Two things. Number one: How do you request FPS?..I'd love to use it. I am with Lloyds TSB and would dearly love to transfer at speed. There is no option as far as I can see.

Number two: Lloyds TSB has a limit of 10k, or it used to. If tried to transfer over 10k, it disallowed this>

I have used it via telephone banking over the last 3 weeks and it has worked fine - haven't tried it for a while on-line as it wasn't working previously

If you do it by telephone banking just ask the person at Lloyds to do it by FP - I also thought Lloyds had a limit of £10K

There's currently a £10k limit per transaction (all of them, APACS limit).
However, Barclays allow me to move £30k per day as Faster Payments (3 x £10k)
NatWest & HSBC are currently limiting me to £10k per day.
Just do your normal online banking stuff and if both sending and receiving bank do Faster Payments then it'll go that way.

I've not seen a specific option for FP in LTSB online, I transferred a small amount last week and it went by the next day in the receiving account (also a FP account at another bank), but last week I transferred a larger amount, and it's still not cleared in the receiving account, so I assume it's just gone by BACS, it'll be 4 working days tomorrow...

Twas available for about two weeks only online (last week of July and first week of August) and then it got pulled by Lloyds. But phoning up for the serivce does seem to be working satisfactorily.

The danger here is not fraud but violent crime !
If you are wealthy and a crook knows this he can break into your home hold a gun at your head or your wife's head and have you transfer £25k to his accomplice's account online.. His accomplice withdraws the money and shuts the phony account.
Believe me its only a matter of time before we read about this in the newspapers. Then the fps limit will have to be reduced .
    Agreed ?

You'd normally have to phone and notify the bank a day or so in advance to withdraw that much AFAIK. And then you'd probably be on CCTV. :)

I'm hoping to see FP sometime this century. Currently it's faster for me to have money wired from half way around the world than it is to transfer between two UK banks.
