M&S &More Card!

I have been an &More credit card holder for more than two years, spend a lot on it and 11 months out of 12 I pay it all off at the end of the month.

M&S are now changing the cards from the old Visa cards to new Mastercards, and although my Mum got one automatically, they've asked em to re-apply. I don't want another credit search on my record - why should I have to re-apply?

Not sure anyone here can answer that. Why don't you give them a call and ask? I'm sure they can't make everyone re apply.

I don't think you have to reapply. If you want to keep the card though it will be changing automatically from a Visa to a Mastercard as they have ended/are not renewing their affiliation with Visa.
So in future all M&S &More cards issued will be Mastercards.

Just phoned them - apparantly I've got the &More Visa Card and Mum's always had the &More Mastercard therefore she soesn't need to reapply - but I do to Mastercard as &More are no longer using Visa.

I can understand the logic, but it makes me so mad - I've been really careful the last few months just to use my existing cards to the best possible end so that I can reduce/stop the searches on my credit score and now I'm being made to if I want to stay an M&S customer. The card isn't great as Martin points out, but I make very good use of it in M&S etc and get a great load of cash back to spend on Xmas & birthdays.

ARGH! Bloody credit card companies!
