Argos extended warranty

we bought a TVOnics Freeview PVR from Argos and bought the extended warrany (3 yrs) for an extra 20 odd pounds. The machine is playing up but is now discontinued in Argos. I intend to return it for replacement.

Anyone been in that position and if so what was the reolution ?

You'll need to have a read through your warranty paperwork to see exactly what the policy but I imagine they'll either repair it FOC or replace it with another similar product of equal or greater value. Again you'll have to read through your paperwork to see exactly what warranty terms they've agreed to.

I will of course post resolution although.....

The warranty is for replacement product, not repair so I will have to see the options when I get there, bearing in mind they no longer stock this item.

Perhaps I will take a better product and pay the difference.
