Inheritance Money - What to do with it?

Hi, this is not a reply but a problem along the same lines, any help would be very much appreciated. I am about to receive 350K inheritance. I am in the process of buying a house which I will use 150k for. My dilema is weather I should try to sell my existing house for 185k or pay off the 90k mortgage and let it out for £725 p/m. My thinking is, that is this a safer place for my money then bonds, savings etc...Also, should I pay the mortgage off or are there any tax advantages to keeping it?
