I have been told that sometimes people coming back from holiday sell their excess $$$ on ebay.
Have you ever heard of this?
I have done some ebay searches but cant find anything?
Thanks

To be honest it must be one of the most high risk purchases if this is the case, and can't possibly be worth the risk.
Let's say you have $500 left from your holiday.
And the best banks buying rate is $1.50, and selling is $1.60 (made up) - a difference of £333 - £312.50. The price you buy it at has to be somewhere between these rates to make it beneficial to both of you (otherwise you might as well both go to the bank). So you will benefit by a maximum of £20 per $500 (in this example), probably less, and risk losing the lot.
OK, so i've managed to use dodgy statistics that are almost certainly wrong, but the be all and end all is that I think you'd be crazy to do it!0 -
