HBOS say i can no longer have an overdraft HELP!

Hi all this is first time i have posted here so please be gentle!

i have just recieved a letter from HBOS stating that my £1300 overdraft runs out on the 18th nov and i will not be having it renewed? they only increased it at the end of july and now i am being left with nothing. At present we are struggling big time as my husband is a builder and has had no work in weeks he had to sign on at job centre and they have put him on a JCB 360 training course as he explained he wanted to work but just couldnt do anything with the training he has. we have CB,CTC and DWP payments going in each month inc rent cheque totaling around £2k per month. we are at the £1100 mark as this has been how we have to survive until work comes in. is there anything we can do to have this extended as we need it until at least jan when OH has a job otherwise i dont know how we are going to live. am worried sick
thanks

The building sector is being hit hard, my dad is the same he works in the same industry, luckily he is still working. Anyway have you telephoned the HBOS up and asked why they are removing it? have you been paying everything else on time credit cards loans mobile phones etc?

Have you asked them if they would consider a 3 month fixed term overdraft?

If they won't do this, ask them to transfer you to the department that deals with customers who are unable to repay their overdraft. They will possibly be able to assist you with short term agreements while hubbie's job sorts itself out.
