Euro conversion

I hope to be shortly receiving an inheritance from a relative in Ireland, so I expect it will be in Euro's (tax paid) What is the most cost effective way, of converting the money to sterling, or will all banks rip me off. I intend to invest the bulk of the inheritance, but don't know if one company charges less and gives the proper rate for the conversion over any other.
Thanks
Alistair

Citibank offers € savings and current accounts; no charges are incurred when changing currency and the exchange rate is very competitive. It depends whether the amount involved makes it worth the hassle of opening an account there.0
