Hello,
I've just purchased a LG 32LG3000 TV with inbuilt freeview. The problem is the indoor aerial I have won't pick up any of the channels. I also have Sky Digital and it picks that up fine.
I then remembered about the outdoor aerial lead which I've never had to use, and being curious I plugged the outdoor aerial lead into the TV and low and behold it picked up all the channels with perfect reception.
Unfortunately the outdoor aerial lead is too short and can't reach my TV. So is there something I can buy that can extend the aerial? Or should I try purchasing a new indoor aerial as the one I have is pretty much rubbish it's just never been an issue until now.
I hope that all makes sense for I know not what I do :embarasse

how much too short is the lead? 1m rf fly leads are a couple of quid from asda, male and female coax connectors are around 50p each, and coaxial cable itself around 50p/metre to make your own leadUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0

I'm sure places like Asda will sell aerial extension leads cheaply. Here's a 4.0m Argos one for £3.49.

If you can't find the length you need, go to your local independent TV shop and they'll knock you one up. Shouldn't be more than a few quid unless you're wanting a 30ft one.0

They are in the poundshop type places... can't remember the price though lol0

Thank you all for your advice. I really had no idea what I was looking for and him indoors was no help.
I'm off to Argos to purchase the Philex 15M Aerial Extension Kit.0 -
With digital, I sometimes find that it causes the sound and image to stutter if you ahve a week signal. See how you get on; you may alsow ant to consider getting a booster too.0

I have a freeview box in my bedroom and the signal for that is perfect so will that mean the signal for my new TV will be fine using the extension? It seemed okay when I tested it with the outdoor aerial lead. It may sound like a silly question but I really have no idea about such things, computers? Yes, TVs? No

There are no guarantees, but chances are it'll be fine. In the unlikely event that adding the extra cable run does degrade the signal enough to cause problems, a cheap booster might well be enough to fix it.There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.

Just to add a quick comment - only buy a booster if you discover youa re getting stuttering images and sound. A booster is very easy to fit. you just plug the cable that you are going to buy, into it (from the external ariel), then plug the other end into the back of the TV.
enjoy!0
