What would be cheaper to heat a tank of hot water for one hour twice a dayelec or gas
We have a timer on our hot water cylinder so we can set that for any times we like
At the moment we heat via the boiler at the same time as the heating in the morning and evening
thanks again people

?????
Got confused with that long sentence.
Choosing between gas and electric to heat tank of water, I'd go for gas.
We used to have ours on twice a day for about 40 mins in the morning and bit longer evening. That's for a family of six.0 -
Electric is 3x more expensive than gas so I'd go for gas - especially if you are heating the house as well - makes it more efficient at the boiler end of things
