Incidentally, it's up about 8% on where it was 5 years ago!
Hey, thank you so much LTL, :A looks as if that might be the one. And it says it isn't one of their "favourite" funds so nothing from thingy Lansdowne about it.
The other shares are easy to see what's going on with them, but this one really had me puzzled.
Won't be in any position to do anything with it for a while I imagine. Shame our solicitor didn't transfer the shares as soon as he got probate back the end of July - would have been much better selling then! Lol
We may have made some progress on the solicitor front finally - second Solicitor was amazed yesterday when the 2 files for my parents' estates turned up via courier as they had asked... Could have knocked me down with a feather when I heard! :rotfl: So will have to try and keep a closer eye on the shares now so can decide what to do when they finally get transferred. But won't be rushing into anythin.
In the short term I may open an ISA as I had the cash Mother nominated for me in her will and still have enough left... Have paid some to OH to make up for the years he's paid for everything (including bereavement counselling currently), paid for some decking at our caravan, and cleared my credit card debt. :money: Actually what I mean is I can start an ISA now, not that I intend it as a short term saving. I'm not a tax payer at the moment (only have my state pension, and it's not enough to attract tax), but suspect that I may be once the estates are sorted out.
It wouldn't surprise me if Father had started in this fund when it began. I think that he probably didn't do much on the investment side of things (other than Treasury Bonds) after they moved to the flat in 1997. He was diagnosed with dementia around 2005, and suspect he was going downhill for a while before diagnosis so not really up to following stuff.
Thanks again LTL! :beer:0 -

Just ran it through the calculator, I'm getting it as £29,361.82
A considerable loss since the original valuation (£42,992.10). Not that I'm complaining - anything is better than nothing!
Father must be turning in his grave at the state of his investments!

I blame my calculator (must have been a worse day yesterday than I thought it was) - think I'll shut up now :rotfl:You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0
