1.4gb is plenty enough in XP. Unless you doing lots of video editing, compiling etc. Windows may have for some reason set the default page file too small.
Click on start->control panel->system-<advanced
Under performance click settings, then advanced. Click on change under virtual memory.
click on 'custom size', and set initial and maximum to 2048.
Press set, and restart.0 -
