Alliance And Leicester

Options
I'm sure I've recently read that Alliance and Leicester are now Santander and not MBNA,does that mean that a balance transfer would now be possible between Virgin and MBNA.Thanks.

MBNA only run the A&L cards. If Abbey card customer procurement was anything to go by, it'll be a good while before Santander/Abbey start offering their cards to A&L/MBNA cardholders.

Not sure of the relevance of this question to A&L cards?

Anyway, it's always been possible to BT between MBNA run cards...just not directly. You'd have to use their super balance transfer capability and route the transfer through a current account.
  • Thanks,I never thought about the super balance transfer route.
