MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to the Weddings board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

• We've made our own - I think my OH searched for 'wedding invite wording' or something similar on google and then he made them up in Microsoft Publisher, printed them in colour and we just handwrote the names on. We got 4 on an A4 sheet as they are just smaller than a postcard and then we stuck them to red card - I'll post a photo later if I remember! I think it cost us less than £10 for 100 people, including the stamps for those we had to post.

:D
• Thank you very much for your responses. That is very helpful:)

I have just made mine on publisher a folded card, popped a pic of us on it and the rest is quite simple, going to print on nice card, and maybe stick a ribbon on, the post out soon, the evening invites are going to be a postcard size, again using the same design on publisher, but on A5 size normal paper.
will gladly send you a copy of what we did for you to have alook, just PM me
• you thought about buying oldish looking paper, wripping the edges, printing out smaller pieces of paper with all deatils on it. stick on the oldish paper, roll up and tie with ribbon , makes scrolls

lots of great ideas here ! I just typed into google wedding stationary and loads of ideas came up, I got a bit of inspiration and bought the bits and bobs from ebay to make myself.

I havent got a printer at home, but I will get one and just print the centre and stick it in. I just got ivory cards and envelopes.

Vistaprint.... register and u will get lots of 'free' offers through, ie, 100 postcards with just the postage to pay ie.£4 max. design these online as invites (real easy) and there you go, personalised and perfect, just buy envelopes but they shouldnt cost much
