Painting over felt tip pen

Hi there
Any suggestions on what I can do to ensure that I'm able to paint over the felt tip pen marks that my 2 year old scribbled on his sister's walls. The walls have been painted with matt paint. I've seen something about needing to seal the pen marks first but I haven't really got a clue and don't really want to rely on B&Q knowing what to use!!!
Thanks

Hi there. I haven't tried it on felt tip pens, but I do know that to seal plaster, stopping stains etc coming through, you can paint it with a watered down PVA mixture. It is literally just PVA glue with some water added to make it about the consistency of single cream (!). Paint it on, then when it's dry you should be able to paint over it no problems.
You could also, to reduce the number of coats of paint you need to use, try sanding down the wall in the affected area, to make the marks fade a bit...?
