Well tried to keep up with the thread last week but failed dramatically so must try harder this week ;)

    Morning all. :hello:

DD has woken up with a sore throat. It doesn't look red but her glands are up slightly. I've told her to drink loads and I'll see how she when she gets home as I think its just due to lack of fluids again and having the heater on last night in her room all night (time to dig the heater bowls out again).

Realised last night that since my TMA is due in on Wednesday, and I have a rather packed calander between now and then, I'm going to have to spend todays "day off" doing my uni work. Laughably the first question is "In preparation for Block 1 you developed a weekly study planner. Describe how you have planned your time to study the rest of this course. You should consider your weekly timetable as well as any time management issues over the course as a whole, such as holidays, work or other planned commitments" then it goes on to part b which is "What are your difficulties and constraints and how do you plan to overcome them?" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: This first TMA seems to be pretty easy (Ex being an ICT technician and me subconsciously absorbing the info is paying off ;) ), so I'm hoping I can get it done today, or at least mostly done - in theory according to the OU it should take me 32hours to do all the work so we'll just have to see.

    Right my list :
    • Mon : Job Centre - 4pm, Mums
    • Tue : Placement; Brownies 6-7.30pm
    • Wed : Placement; Avon due (just to remind me;)); Bonfire night (7.30pm start in theory for display) TMA01 T175 DEADLINE

[strike]Wash windows in these rooms[/strike]no more cleaning windows for me since I "glazed" it. I should really clean the outside, but I'm not going to bother until the weekend on account of bonfire night producing so much muck....well thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it :p

  • Good morning ladies.

Not only did we get DS2 into the nursery, i also did the controlled crying with him. At 6 months old he is big enough to go to sleep without being rocked, so new room, new routine. It only took 1 hour to get him off, so he was asleep by 11:15, and slept till nearly 6:30. I am desperate to get some time and physical space back to myself, and this is how it is now going to be. Wonder how long it takes him to learn.

This morning so far i have fed the kids, emptied the WM from yesterday, got on a load of bibs on a 60 wash, and run the steriliser to make up the bottles. I also remembered to remind DH to take the new baby pressie with him to work so he can give it to his boss next time he is in. I don't know if i am tight or not, but we had some outfits from primark and george that were bought for DS2 but weren't the right season for his size, so i have given them as the present. It was 6-9month summer clothes, and a really thick lined cardie in 0-3, and no point him wearing them. There were 4x outfits, plus a pair of bootees and a cardi, so a substantial pressie compared to if i had personally been buying a pressie IYSWIM.

I have a chicken carcass in the SC making a stock, which will need straining later. Might make a chicken and veg soup for tonights dinner. Should satisfy the carnivore that is AKA my DH.

Other than that, i will be plodding along in the LR, and see where i get. I know the cream leather sofa is crying out for a good clean, but i can't see me managing that with both boys on my own.

Have a nice one girls. valli good luck with the dreaded O
. I won't give them their full name as it is as much a swear word as w**k in my house, but i hope it is less stressful than we anticipate their visit to be.

    See you all later.

LAST NIGHT'S POST WITH CAKE PICCY IN..........:rotfl:

Hi all, not done a whole lot of flying today. I went to a halloween/birthday party for OH and one of his friends.

It was really good fun, we had some of these brain damage shots, http://www.the-cocktail-bar.com/47-B...ink-Recipe.htm.

I made OH and his mate this cake, http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Kitty-L...ke/Detail.aspx complete with scoop and litter tray.

It went down really well and everyone thought it was brilliant.:D

Anyway, been back to Lakeland today and got the shallow pan for the remoska so I do a few more things with it. It's great did loads of roast potatos for tonights tea, a chicken in the deep pan and then a cake in the shallow whilst we ate our tea.

Cleared the coats etc up that were lying around in the dining room, we've put them in an upstairs wardrobe so at least they are out of the way.

    Getting girls organised for tomorrow.

We've got a busy week but I remembered to tax car.

What I didn't remember until just now was the codes from breakfast cereals that meant you could order a dvd for £1.00 from Play, duh. Was on my list of 'must get round to doing that', trouble is I have ran out of time now.:o

Oh and I fell over last night, not because I was particularly drunk, because I missed my footing in the dark where the path ran out and the rough ground started so have sore knee, back and elbow and a soaking wet s it was persistantly raining.:D

OH picked me up and he seemed to find the whole incident amusing for some reason :whistle:

Anyway off for a shower be back later. xx

For anyone who cannot see the link above its here just scroll down to relevent bit, kitty cake :D

    http://noblepig.com/

Because its obviously american stuff I just used

    plain sponge

    choc sponge

    custard to bind

    custard creams

    fudge

    Crumbled the 2 sponges together

Bound with custard (used 2 ready made small pots of ambrosia) but angel delight would have been just as good.

Whizzed up custard creams or you could use bourbons.

Layered cake with sponge, then sprinkled biscuit covering in a cat litter tray (£1.50 for tray, scoop, bowls, cat toys in TESCO)

Slightly melted fudge pieces in microwave on medium for a few seconds until pliable.

DD2 moulded them into 'pieces'. Placed in tray, added scoop and bobs your uncle.

Really simple and easy to make.

Tasted delicious too in case you wondered:D
