Radio adapter help needed

I have a DAB radio in the kitchen and the bit that plugs into the wall has cracked and become very unsafe to use. I have found another adapter (not sure what its from) that fits the DAB but am unsure if this is the right thing to do. Would someone be kind enough to tell me if it is safe to replace the broken adapter with the other one. Heres the details:
Unsafe adapter is:
Model KG4A-12-850D
Input: 230VAC 50hz 150mA
Output: 12VDC 850mA
replacement adapter (potentially)
Model: NPT96-4
Input: 220-240v - 50hz
Output: 12v 450mA
Thanks

The replacement adaptor is not capable of giving the same amount of current as the original (although I cannot see a DAB radio using 850mA) and it does not state if it is ac or dc (some items use ac, xmas scenes with motors etc). You also need to check if the polarity is the same.0

It sounds like you'll need to find one which is rated at at least 850ma output current to be sure of it being up to the job. It'll need to be 12 volts and have the same polarity also. There'll be a little diagram which shows whether the inner or outer of the connector tip is positive/negative (I think almost all are the same though).
Maybe you could try Maplins?0 -
