Isn't it the sort of thing that David Lloyd promote as being better than their competitors and accordingly part of the 'feel good' factor that they charge for?
    The Garry Glitter effect?

Did Gary Glitter actually hang around MENS changing rooms? , maybe you find his lifestyle amusing , I'm sure most dont .

Back to the OP , I think your best bet is to pursue the gym for some sort of compensation , I belong to the one in Swindon , and I think they have struggled to get full membership , so I would think it is in their interests to keep you , after all there are plenty of cheaper gyms to join
  • I complained when the air con broke in my gym - in the middle of a very hot summer. (The gym being south facing and having lots of windows didn't help). It took them 3 months to fix it, and I wasn't able to work out without feeling sick with the heat after about 10 minutes.

I wrote and complained, and got those 3 months fees refunded (which was what I asked for).

So worth waiting for the reply - they might surprise you ;)

you could also say after the repairs the changing rooms will be much better, does that mean the club can then charge you more? really not worth going to court over this but speak to the manager and try and get a few months free so something like that.
