Help with links please

If I wanted to insert a link to an item, instead of copying and pasting the web address which can sometimes be up to 5 lines long, how do I change the address so it can be shown as a "here" as i've seen it appear on this forum many times by you clever cloggers?

One way would be to type the word e.g. "here" and then select the word and click on the insert link button on the editor and put the address in there, e.g. "here".

..... select by highlighting the word. (just thought I'd mention that)

I'm sort of getting there but it keeps saying this page cannot be displayed!!

Sometimes you have to click on the A square on the right had side of the post box you type in to change the format.

Remove the highlighted portion and add what you want
