with the mixed opinions about vistaprint i'm unsure whether to use them or not. but i really need a coupple of dozen business cards to attach to craft items im thinking of making a lot of, in order to test whether they'd sell or not.
any one know of another company that isnt so dodgy? i dont mind paying a little, just cant afford a lot!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -
I've not had a problem with them (apart from the huge amount of spam - daily emails. Make sure you don't use your regular email account.)
I paid with Paypal. I think (someone will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong) that with Paypal they can't continue taking payments so you're safe - they can only take the payment you specifically authorise.0 -
Yes, I think that is correct. However, I did hear on the news recently that Paypal is having security problems- apparently it's OK to use it for Ebay, but can be risky for anything else.I've not had a problem with them (apart from the huge amount of spam - daily emails. i got an order from them the day before yesterday , should have been 21 days got it in 10 , the small print thing was far too small but the business cards and other stuff were good , i put in another order yesterday for eight pound something paying by paypal again , this time i ordered 10 magnetic pictured calendars for fridges ect , printed sticky notes and a printed notepad and printed return address labels and 250 business cards , pretty good for eight pound something most of that was postage ,i'm also thinking of puting in a order for 500 printed fridge calendars that could also be used as mousemats , i can get free postage and 25% off but i'm hoping for a better deal of them yet , so far its about £1250

To be clear VP's printing is not dodgy just their marketing so be careful use a non important email addy dont get temted to get a discont after paying and all should be fine.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -

Haven't experienced this as being dodgy myself, but have read on others who had ordered, then had thier details retained (at thier own request) by Vista Print, and then has £10 taken from their account by direct debit! They did get it back- but it was not easy, not easy firstly to stop the payments comming out, and secondly not easy to get the money back. Could be easier with a credit card as that has some insurance maybe.
But have gathered if you just don't take them up on any of the offers along side the offer you want, your safe- or something like that! Just be careful to not tick any boxes unless your certain you know what its for!
Have ordered a rubber stamp- for the grand total of £3.52 (thats just shipping plus Vat) pricey shipping for a 21 day delivery! but still makes it the cheapest detailed rubber stamp I can find incl postage anywhere. I know they will come up with the goods but am praying they don't do anything dodgy with my account. I literally budget for every penny I spend and regulary have a day or two per month where I cannot afford to eat. (probably shouldn't have taken the risk!!)0 -
Vista Print are brilliant!!
I've have tons of stuff from them over the years and never paid more than the postage.
For those worried about ordering, don't be ... at the end of your order there will be a screen that asks if you want 10% off next order, or discount off next order etc, and you click NO THANKS and you get nothing and no cards are charged.
Enjoy

I just got my stuff today and i have to say I'm impressed with the business cards. The stamp is a bit small but its really handy. The magnet is huge but i only ordered it cos it was free so i don't care cos i'm not gonna use it. Finally the pen was also very nice. I got all this for £4.45 which isn't bad. I do get the daily emails now but since i have marked them as junk they go into my junk folder.0
