I got a quote for a car last week, was so happy to find out id only have to pay 950 a year to insure a car that im planning on buyin in the future...
I did it all again today to double check, same car and everything, apparntly it wil cost me 2500 a year to insure...are they making it up how can it increase that much in one week with all the same details

Anyway i dont suppose anyone can find a car that costs around 1000 a year to insure, the car needs to cost around 500 prefrebly a 3dr hatchback...if anyone can find one id be very gratefull!

I hate insurance, it would cost me 800quid more the insure a freind of mines car because im a guy living it pitsea... and shes a girl in a posher area... posher people shud have to pay more...(just my personal opinion as they have more cash lol)

Besides, talk about sexism aswell... if it was women being chared more than men there would be uproar...

In a few years time, I WILL be charged more for my motorbike insurance than my bf.... fact of life... I know it's coming.

Are you SURE you put all the details in correctly? If you are really worried CALL the companies for a quote. It is no obligation and sometimes talking to someone with experience can be helpful.

Anyway, I live in a safer area so I don't think I should be charged more for my insurance seeing as I am less likely to be robbed

My premium also went down £20 when I pointed out I was a homeowner, not rented!! lol

The site searches other sites for quotes live. One of the problems may be that the company who gave you the 950 pound quote's online quoting facility doesn't work at weekends (quite a few are monday to Friday and certain hours only) Check again tomorrow during the day, also try confused.com and moneysupermarket, they don't all search the same places.

You should also try some companies direct web sites, like direct line, who don't use these comparison sites. We got a quote £50 cheaper than any comparison site came up with this way!

What are you trying to insure, and how old are you??

PS - insurance is based on statistics, and although women probably have more "prangs", men are far more likely to have a spectacular crash, thus costing an insurance company a LOT of money!

What's wrong with a reasonably old 3 door hatchback?? You can only drive as fast as the slowest car on the road, particularly when commuting, so fast cars are a waste of money!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
