My computer (6 months old) is taking ages to load up.....it gets to the desktop stage and then churns away in the background for at last 5 minutes before I can load any applications.
Also its becoming slower and slower when I am multiple apps open and its a bit frustrating
I dont have norton but use AVG and have minimised what starts up in my tray but still problem persists - any ideas what I can do?

You need to edit what opens on startup, use TuneUp Utilities (sp?) its really good for all diffrent performance tools, you will probs find u got loads of rubbish background files opening that u dnt need open...Also if you need more to run at the same time without slowing buy more ram0

Possibly something nasty lurking
Download MALWAREBYTES
http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html
UPDATE and QUICK SCAN (For now)
If it finds anything, post the log here and delete the problems
We can take from there:idea:0 -
