**HOT TIP for LONG COATS!**

As a qualified groomer for 20 years, I would like to let you into a real money saving tip!

Use a human plastic comb, to comb through dog and cat coats, it not only massages the skin it is comfortable and if it catches on a knot, you are able to tease it out without causing pain.

NEVER pull matts out, your animal feels pain as you do! If they are un-comb-able, take your animal to a groomer to be clipped down, then start again combing with the human comb.

It is what I use on a daily basis with all salon animals, dogs cats rabbits.
Save your money buying purpose animal brushes and combs. The plastic human comb works better. The only exception being very large breeds with ultra thick coats. Then a SLICKER brush is best.

Also knots will get tighter when they get wet! do not bath your animal until its been clipped off. (It only takes 4-6 weeks to grow back) remember the comfort of your pet is more important that looks for a short while. Grooming helps bonding too!

Buy your comb from places like Superdrug/ Boots etc etc for less that a £1 !!!!:T
Also with long coated cats, using un perfumed baby powder works wonders to stop knotting! comb through and out.

Hope this helps
