Confused By Cashback Sites

Hi peeps :hello:

Can someone with experience put me right as I'm confused by which cashback site to use

Once I know which site to use is it just a case of registering? then everytime I want to make a purchase from somewhere I just log into that account?

As simple as the instructions may appear for these sites, I find it all rather confusing :o:o

Yes, It's as simple as you have said. Use the 'Cashback-Sites Maximizer' (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cashback-sites-comparison/) to see who is giving the biggest % cashback for the retailer you want to buy from, then go to that cashback website using the link given in the Maximizer. Then register on that site if you haven't already, make sure you're logged in, search for the retailer, then click on the link to be taken to that retailer's website. Then just shop as normal, and your cashback should be credited automatically to your account on the cashback website. (Usually within 1-3 days but it depends on the retailer). HTH.
  • Make sure you clear your cookies too, otherwise it might not track or track against the wrong cashback site, especially if you have been checking the cashback on different sites to make sure which is the best deal.

My lottery cashback ended up on a different site to the one I was expecting once, but as it was the same amount it did not matter too much.

Thanks Harry, I see that Quido charge £5.00 do they all charge an admin fee, oh one more thing please, I guess I'd have to register with each site to get the best cashback each time I shop?

Don't forget to enable cookies on your browser - else it might not actually help. It would be helpful to have one particular browser for all your cashback site usage. That way you won't have to worry about wiping your cookies out.

Edit: Mentioned at the time I was posting this. Lol. Well, if you do clear your cookies, make sure you allow your browser to store them

Top Cashback doesn't have an admin fee - but some deals tend to be higher on other cashback sites. Better not to spread your cashback earnings on too many different sites though. Martin wrote an article on this somewhere here.

  • Hi

Can everyone please remember to be nice to other MoneySavers? Keeping this site a friendly place to visit is much more important than whether a post has been made in the "wrong" place or not.

10past6, if you have a look at the Cashback Sites article that should help answer your questions.

    Thanks

    Andrea :)
