I've been waiting on the Easyjet flights coming out for Summer 09 September from Edinburgh and they are a lot more expensive than what I was expecting, more than double the price of what I paid last year (although last year I didn't book straight away). Are they at their cheapest at the moment or do the prices go up and down? don't know whether to hold off to see if they come down or book just now? thanks!0

Easyjets flights generally go up and up, unless they are having a sale or other offers. Are you booking for a beach destination or a city, as I have found Cities will often be at a good price in a sale but not beach destinations.0 -
Hi Saral,
Thanks for your message. I'm booking for a beach holiday in the South of France, would you just go ahead and book them and not wait for a sale? I see so many 25% of flight sales and with a family of 4 it makes a difference, its such a gamble, I'm thinking of just booking them to put me out of my misery!!0 -
If you want to fly on a Saturday in school summer holidays, demand is usually good so fares may not fall, you have to make your own assumptions about demand levels and whether the asking price will hold, fall or increase.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

I'm glad I booked ours from Liverpool to Palma (for sat-sat before Spring half-term), as it's now gone up another £20 in a couple of days. Seem much more expensive than I would have expected though...C'est le ton qui fait la chanson0

Mine went up while I was trying to book!
I'd say to those thinking about booking don't wait if the price is good and you are going at a popular time (weekend or school holiday) as these are unlikely to reduce and will most probably rise.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0 -
JCB1 - I am assuming you want Nice, I actually class this as a City, I find it is the Spanish resorts that shoot up, as has been mentioned the Nice flights go up quickly for a Saturday if you are tied to that.
I book up at the beginning and only once has the 'Sale' price been better (I am always checking!) and even then it was only a little bit, the sales tend to go up to June, but not many for July, August, but who knows.....0 -
