Sunday 2/11/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will:
  • Clicks
  • check online banking
  • update spreadsheets
  • storecupbord meals
  • go to gym twice for a swim and jacuzzi:D
  • make a loaf in breadmaker
  • finish cleaning house with stardrops and microfibre cloths
  • sort and shred some paperwork and add to compost bin
  • take some stuff to recycling centre
  • go to asda and buy a few foodie bits to take away with us to lake district on Tuesday - cheaper than buying locally or eating out.
Good morning guys, early start today have lots to do and want to get to gym early too as I didn't go yesterday:D :D . Also need a trip to mums to stash xmas pressies in her loft - no room in this flat:rolleyes: . Hope you are all having a great weekend, enjoy today.

Welcome to any new posters:wave: and hi to all the regulars:hello: :hello: .

    Morning,

    1) I won £10 in the lotto last night, bought a ticket for next week and blew the rest playing instant win games. Not very dfw, I know. <--- I ended up winning £20 on my last go though and stopped myself from buying more tickets thinking of how I could use this £20 to get me closer to being df. Very proud that I paid it back to my account. :)

    2) Made toast from my homemade bread for breakie.

    3) As mentioned yesterday, going to make pizza dough and use up my leftover veg to make pizza.

    4) Going to portion out my flour for loaves to see how much use I can get out of each bag. I bnought all the bread making supplies using the Sainsburys vouchers from that quidco/insurance thing a few months back so it was well spent.

    5) Still haven't found a reasonably priced, yet well reviewed hoover. Need to research that a bit more.

    6) Try to resist Bluewater!!!! I really want to go today....:o

Today I shall finish off the delivery of phone books which I started on Monday - good exercise and its pretty interesting walking up everyone's drives in the neighbourhood - I never realised I was so nosey :)

May also list a few things on EBay and other places, I seem to have car parts lying around all over the place!
All I seem to hear is blah blah blah!
