Yes, I noticed your post had been deleted, I didn't think there was anything too contentious in it.
They can bar specific access codes !!! if they want. I say again i did not say they would, but the opportunity to do so is their if they want to do so.Anyway when people signed for OneTel Line Rental they agreed to put all their call traffic over OneTel so by not doing so they breach contract anyway.
Barring indirect access codes, which onetel choose not to do, and barring access to NGN services is not the same - all NGN services are legitimate calls made via the host network. If you are using one of these services to 'bypass' the onetel billing then technically this may be against their t&c, but as they allow you to do this, I cant see any problem at the moment.
Yes you can vote with your feet and move on but your choice of alternative supplier is slowly being eroded...
If everyone chose to stay with BT as you suggest, there would be no choice at all - and no competition for BT. What I was inferring is that you can always move back to BT if absolutely necessary... ;)

I do think this issue has become a little confused - I couldn't recommend that someone should move their line rental simply to take advantage of the lower cost - as you quite rightly say this does tie you to same provider for your calls. However, for someone who has already chosen to use, say onetel, for as their sole CPS call provider, it does make sense to have one bill and take advantage of the line rental discount and other offers available.

I for one am glad to see the back of the confusing BT bills, and the appalling attitude of BT's customer services when you question any of their more dubious business practices.
