ahhhh amazon!

- have i ordered or not. i have spent ages putting my items in basket,filling out all delivery details then payment.was told delivery date.when i went back on to track order it said no orders to track.:mad: i also did not get a confirmation email from them.
any ideas... i did contact customer service but nothing back yet. i am totally weary of giving my payment details out because you hear all the time about cloned pages etc.

i went off the computer after and 'cleaned' the details off.(prevent fraud etc) maybe i didnt submit.
do emails usually get sent straight away after orders?

Log back in to Amazon and check your basket.

i did,it was empty but when you run a cleaner it wipes any history and details.annoying but safer.

Personally, I find Amazon brilliant. I use them alot.

When you put items in basket, check out, fill in all details etc, payment and click... then I find that in seconds (or less ) I have confirmation email and in a few days my purchases arrive. Can't ask for more.

Aye, iirc amazon have 4 or 5 steps from adding stuff to the basket to the order being submitted by default - basket, login, select shipping address/shipping type, payment method, review, submit.
If you stop at any point (even just leaving it for 15 minutes to go and make a cup of tea) short of the submission point it'll bounce everything back to the basket.

If you use something that cleans the cookies etc on your PC, that may end up emptying the basket (I can't remember if amazon remembers what is in your basket for buying now* via cookie or website - i suspect it's by cookie).

Normally I find that I get order confirmation emails from Amazon within a minute or two or submitting the order, although that can vary depending on who you use for your email (check spam filters**).


*As opposed to "save for later" which i'm fairly sure is done at their end (as i've had some items in my basket to buy later for months, since before i last reinstalled windows).

**One of the bains of my life, as they either let too much through, or stop non spam.
