Broadband keeps dropping in and out

Hi

I I have my phone and broadband with talk talk. For the last few days our broadband has been dropping in and out (between every 10secs and 10minutes) it wil go off for about a minute or two than come back on.

We have an externl modem and the lights are going off when it goes down. I have tried to ring talk talk but have not been able to get through.

On monday the phone and broadband went out totally for about an hour, do you think this could have anything to do with it?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Sounds very likely that the problem will be at Talk Talk's end so I would continue to try them first.

We are with Tiscali and our internet kept going down for hours on end.

We rang the recorded message number which was saying there wasn't a problem.

When the engineer came out he checked the phone point boxes, took the covers off and said they had old capasiters in there which should have been replaced when we had broadband originally installed.

He changed the front of both phone point boxes and we have had no trouble since.
