So That's what Alvin Hall has been up to. The Scotsman is a publication that few of those non Scots South of the border have ever heard of. I once saw my Grandfather read it.

Alvin is a snappy dresser when on TV. His voice reminds me of Sesame Street. I guess they all talk a little different over there.
Read the terms and conditions as the card providers bet on you mis-interpreting them and they reserve the right to change them at any time in order for you to pay more money to them.

Always consullt your optician for optical aids that may help you read the small print with clarity. Some times a microscope is the optical aid of choice.
  • But people like us DO read the terms and conditions.
...............................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym
  • But the ability to change them slyly or other clauses outside the general stuff we look at like BT fees, how money is allocated etc.. etc...

  • Alvin's article is certainly very enlightening with regards to possible future practices in the credit card industry.

The way the article reads, it almost sounds like credit card companies may adopt a 'One hit and you're down' policy, i.e. one mistake and you'll pay for it.

I agree with Pale-Rider - I also read the Terms and Conditions. However, with up to 8 cards on the go at any one time, I can't honestly say if I read them all from cover to cover, and it's only when you read an article like Alvin's (or worse - when you actually make the mistake) that you're tempted you go back and read them cover to cover.
