I don't think it's fair to place blame on Argos when it's actually Provident door step finance thats offering a Argos Gift Card with the money on rather than cash.0

Provident are notrious for their excessive APR, always praying on the the folks who live on the breadline0

In defence of Argos....it is not their product, the provy pedal this as a marketing tool aimed at the "unemployed - everything’s a pound shop rampage - forty kids at a time - Xmas worshiper’s brigade" spend what you haven’t got and pay for it the rest of your life..Its ok you can do it at Argos, makes it sound more credible by branding it with the name of a reputable high street retailer. Hmmm. :rolleyes:Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

Surely their should be some kind of limit on apr's, didn't think Argos would get mixed up in this behaviour.0

Not the provy, the best thing do is not to use them. They prey on the financial destitute and the can't work - won't work characters.Surely their should be some kind of limit on apr's, didn't think Argos would get mixed up in this behaviour.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? I wonder if this card is targeted at those people who previously used to save with Christmas hamper companies? I reckon that Provident have realised that many people still haven't twigged that the best way to pay for Christmas is to save in something like a building society, or even those savings stamps you can by from the likes of Morrison's. So they come along with this rip-off card. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
