import .dbx files in Outlook

I recently backed up all the .dbx files from Outlook Express on a friends old PC. He wants to run Outlook (not Express) on his new computer, but I don't know how to import the files I have saved. Also, when trying to import the .wab file (address book from Express), it doesn't seem to want to recognise this either.
Any help/advice would be gratefully received.

Your friend probably has Outlook Express AND Outlook installed on his computer because the former is part of Internet Explorer and cannot be uninstalled (easily).
Therefore put the .dbx files in a directory on the hard drive and change OE's store folder to that directory. Then in Outlook use File - Import & Export - Import Internet Mail and Addresses.0 -
or setup his email address under Express and the fire up Outlook it'll spot there's an Express account and ask if you want to import everything.0
