Advance Purchase National Express East Coast

Have tried to book £9 single Peterborough London + return on the 9th January using the National Express East Coast site as soon as the tickest were released, it allowed me to book the "out" journey in the morning but after selecting the return in the evening I got a message saying that there were no seats available try another selection, but the same problem. Tried again yesterday and today and there are no cheap seats whatsoever available from London to Peterborough even 1st class.
Anybody know if there is a problem with the National Express web site? Same problem with National Rail. Or are they holding back on the cheap seats from London?

I'm after peterborough-york and back on the weekend of the 10/11 jan.Those and the following weekend have not been released yet although tickets up to 23/01 have.
I suspect engineering work is holding these back and your friday evening train may be affected by this.I would give it a few days longer.

Thanks abacab. The frustration is that the £9 tickets were available to select on the day I received an email advising that they had released them, but on trying to book got a message "no seats". Perhaps the booking info was released in error without the seat reservations. So far I have a ticket to London but can't get back!!!

Suspect that they will appear when tickets for the 10th are released.Would book single down and wait for return,but a bit of a gamble.
