XP Anti spyware problem

Having a problem with XP-Antispyware I keep getting a message saying my computer is infected and I need to download some tools. My computer is infected as I keep getting pornographic images and other sites loading up randomly. Can anyone help or do I need to reformat.

    no, shouldn't need to reformat....

    firstly, that XP Antispyware message is a file saved on your computer. Had this on BIL's pc, along with many other nasties, so it is fixable...

    secondly, download and run MalwareBytes AntiMalware, from here:-

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/

    download, install, update and run. save the logfile and post it back here. Also fix anything it finds by following the instructions within MBAM.

    That's a starter for ten, post back and se how you've got on...

    Use Malwarebytes' AntiMalware as advised before, but use my link if unable to use the link in post #2.

    I have to say I swear by SAS - but Donnie recommended Malwarebytes to me & this solved the problem I was having. SAS found 3 infected files - and didn't successfully delete them (In fairness I did install SAS AFTER the laptop was infected). Malwarebytes (also installed after infection) found 27 & did successfully delete them

    Used malawarebytes in Vista64 the program that sites in taskbar wont work in Vista64 however it didnt stop my pc getting infected with two nasty trojans in XP. I uses superantispyware and that worked and the program sits in tskbar in Vista64 quiet happily I never get any issues at all.I know a friend who works in IT trade and he swears by it, he uses it to get rid of trojans and avg doenst always stop them
