Grants for windows???

Hi everyone, new to this forum site.

I heard on the news some time ago that the government were to provide grants for windows and doors to disabled people. Has anyone heard of this??? I have contacted my local council but they do not provide such grants. Can anyone help? Thanks :rolleyes:

Oh I would like to know too as my windows are not very good.

A quick google brought up numerous links. If you were to google for the Disabled Facilities Grant and your area, you might find the relevant information. Below are the first 2 links my search brought up.

It seems to be linked to local councils, but I suspect that you'd need to use the right words when asking for it.

It's also worth noting that it doesn't seem to be restricted to council tenants, which makes a pleasant change.
