Dividends paid in error

I told Aberdeen Asset Management in 2006 that my mother had died and needed to close the account. Since then they have continued to pay the dividends despite repeated requests to stop. Eventually, they have recognised their error and have requested repayment of the £900 paid. They have offerred compensation of £35 for the inconvenience.
Does anyone know whether they has rights to reclaim and if so what amount of compensation is reasonable to claim?

They can reclaim upto 6 years later, no compensation required.0

Take the offer and be pleased. Someone has received the interest on £900 and £35 for their trouble. What on earth more would you want.
Alternatively you might find a daytime television program to take up the tragic way you have been treated and try to get you loads of compensation or at least make you famous for five minutes.0
