Gifted.Which stores give gift receipts? Refunds..after christmas

just noticed tk maxx do (VERY small sign behind tills) (they normally only allow exchanges/refunds within 2 weeks).
Which shops refund or which give back vouchers/gift cards,on returning goods against gift receipts?
I think you have to specifically ask-they don't just give them.

Next, Marks and Spencers and Debenhams do aswell. Not sure for definite but I think Zavvi and HMV do aswell. Mostly it's the big name high street stores.

Debenhams in Carlisle did because I got one.

M&S gift receipts give you until 31/01/09 to return.
Tesco as of today give you until after xmas.

River Island do gift receipts, but they extend the normal receipt policy of 28 days during Christmas period anyway. You can get full refund/exchange with normal receipt, credit note or exchange with gift receipt.

Last year I bought my mum something from wallis and got a gift receipt ..then bought something else that suited her better and took it back after xmas only to find the item was in the sale and they wanted to refund me half the price!! I'd been told before if it didn't fit whatever she could get a full refund ie in my mind £50 quid towards something she did like. So beware this!!

I did actually have the proper receipt to so as I was within 28 days got a full refund but don't think I'll be doing clothes this year, too risky.
