in Credit cards
Hello,
Just wondering if anyone can help, I bought a holiday from a travel agent on my asda credit card paying in full for later on this month. The following day my son was involved in a RTA and will be in hospital for some time. Understandably I now wont be going away as i'll need to stay with him.
I never had chance to buy travel insurance was my next job
. The travel agent is offering me 10% as it's within a month of travel (although I bought it in the same month!).
Does anyone know of anyway I can reclaim anything else back - may be off the credit card???
Cheers,
James

Sorry to hear about your son - hope he fully recovers.
TBH I don't see how your credit card could be liable for any of this - the holiday company is still in business and presumably able to fulfil the contract of providing the holiday, and it's not a case of faulty goods either.
I would double check the cancellation terms that you would have agreed to when you booked the holiday and make sure that the travel company is not acting outside of those. Otherwise that's about it I'm afraid.0
