I got mine in Boots Piccadilly Circus in London. Although the sales assistant was a bit snotty, she gave me one without pushing any other products or forcing me to have a consultation. Just handed her the coupon, and that was it.0

I got mine from the boots at bond street this time after being refused at bayswater ystd! they seemed to have quite alot of stock, SA seemed to be very used to it. I had to have a consultation though, recommended quite a few products, I just told her I'm waiting for the boots xmas event to come back and get it so I could get my pts0

None of the Boots stores in my area have an EA counter, already bought the mag so if anyone would like mine, i would gladly post it.
Update - already gone, sorry. you are as you are, if you aren't as you ought to be.0 -
Picked mine up at Cribbs Bristol - friendly EA lady and she didn't push for a consultation (did have 2 kids in tow though).0

Snotty jobsworth SA who looked like a tarted up extra from Dawn Of The Dead refused to give me the stuffing thing.
SA: 'Your Lady must come and have a consultation.'
Me: 'She's agoraphobic.'
SA: 'But there must be a consultation.'
Me: 'OK I'll have one.'
SA: 'Ha, ha.'
Me: 'No seriously, consult me lady.'
SA: 'Sorry Sir, I need to serve a customer now.'
Well, at least the SA on the Max Factor till had a giggle.
Duder
I have to say that I wouldn't let this one lie and would be asking to speak to the manager of the store and generally complaining loudly so that everyone could hear.
I know it was a joke but but it's still totally out of order as how is the consultant to know whether you were serious or not. Who says that you have to be female to have a consultation? Without a doubt, it's discrimination and they are on very dodgy ground.
Even though it's after the event, I would contact the store to complain - you will probably receive more free products to make up for the way you were treated.0 -
I managed to get mine yesterday, I even used advantage points to pay for the magazine so got it all completely free. It's a really nice gift, I'm really pleased with it.
The EA lady in the Boots on High Street Birmingham was a little pushy, but managed to get out without buying anything (I said I was looking to buy some high factor sun screen for my face, knowing full well EA don't do a range!).0 -
Hi moneysavers - just thought Id give you my experience as a Guy.
I got mine from Boots Broadmead where I told the SA that it was for a Gift. She first said that the lady I planned to give it to would have to come in for a consultation, but I said that was just not possible, so I would gladly have the skin consultation! I just had my moisture levels checked with a gadget and then a lovely refreshing moisturiser put on (with free samples to take away) and the £25 eyeshadow! You do NOT have to purchase anything, this is not a requirement, so dont let them push you.0 -
Well i've read and chuckled at all the comments above
I'm going shopping tomorrow(7th Nov), so i shall buy a 'Prima mag', and see if there are any of those lovely 'EA Eyeshadow compacts' left,
Oh, To harry harp- Great picture, thats whats convinced me to try and get one :T Thankyou.0 -
i bought the mag at lunchtime and popped down to boots sheffield but they don;t have an EA counter, but I will pop to Meadowhall at some point and get it. even if its £10 rather than £25 advertised, its still a good deal for £2.50! choccy was lovely tooWins 2012: £50 Love2Shop voucher, Lets Dance tickets, Juan Zelades CD, bluetooth speaker, Blackberry 9360 with £30 credit a month, Chocolate, Maybelline Goodie Bag, Hunter wellies!0
