Any Americans?

I joined a few days ago and it didn't take me too long to realize this is a British forum. I didn't see the UK in the header up top when I signed up.
This is a great forum so i'd hate to leave.
Are there any other American's lost in here? Are we even welcome?

Afraid, the only Americans who seem to turn up here regularly are ones promoting MLM schemes and mindless Paypal scams. Such postings are prohibited under site rules, as is advertising for personal gain, which your post seems to do. Reported as spam.0

Let's not split hairs, ryanjbow, but to be precise you've been thanked once in each of two posts - and almost certainly not for your invite that people should call an expensive US number.
Remove all advertising from your sig, don't post anything that advertises your business, read & stick to the forum rules, and I am sure your stay will be as long as you want it to be. Forum rules apply regardless of nationality.0 -

You are most welcome wherever you are from.
As long as you follow forum rules you can't go wrong.
Feel free to pop into the arms and have a chat anytime. Welcome to mse.
I live in my own little world, but it's ok as everyone knows me here

Whilst I've only just seen this (because I'm not on every day for hours at a time, like some others)......
This backs up what I said a while ago.....a .com address attracts numerous unwanted American spam......at 3.02am on 24/12 some of the boards have been spammed and reported by another user.
I'm not internet savvy, much anyway, but I don't half think a .co.uk address would cut this sort of thing right down. Then us Brits with the common sense can enjoy a forum free from the primitive nature of those across the pond.
EDIT - as an addition, at the time of writing the site has been spammed a few times, by, you guessed it, threads containing a lot of dollar signs. Ranging from mobile phones, to XBox 360s.
Thank you to Nelski/Poppycat for reporting what appears to be most of them.0 -
Hi Ryan - looks like it's just your sig which is causing problems. We've had the odd American popping in (the odder the better..) - although the 'stuff on sale in Tesco' won't be too useful, there are plenty of general advice and humo(u)r boards and at least you'll get a laugh at our 'sale' prices.0

daveboy, a .co.uk URL doesn't protect from spammers, wherever they live (and you'll find sensible and stupid people in any nation)

Hey Ryan.
You could prove useful too.
Many of the US offers aren't available to us brits so perhaps we could get our US freebies sent to you and you could send them on.
I'm sure we are only talking about one or two packages a year.:)
