Flat plate (slimline) sockets

Has anyone fitted flat face (slimline) sockets? I really like them especially the hidden screw type (bit costly though!), my mate said that his dad fitted them and they would not sit flat against the wall has anyone else any first hand experience of them?

We've used the really thin, nickel polished black ones in the new house, not got hidden screws, though. Cheapest place was Screwfix, regularly on offer. They cost less than the thicker ones, too.

Haven't a foto on hand, but we also used these brushed stainless steel ones from Homebase, in the last place.

You DO need to have level walls, though, else they'll look a right mess!!

I got them, they sit fine if they are put on right.

I had ours fitted after a reskim. They are the no-screw clip on type. The electrician wasn't really interested in getting them to fit properly so I ended up having to finish it off myself, and it was a right pain. I'd never buy them again. The screw types are far more forgiving. The clips only have to be the slightest bit out to either pop off or look naff.
