7% Halifax Fixed Web Saver

The 3 month fixed rate Web Saver has just moved off the banner section of their web site.

Although the account is still available, this change may indicate that it will be withdrawn in the next few days (this is an educated guess on my part).

So move fast if you want one!

(the 6.5% for 9 months and 12 months aren't bad looking deals either!).

Did anybody notice that they were offering 6.7% for 12 months on their Guaranteed Reserve last Wednesday which has changed to 5.6% now?

Wow that was lucky. I got it today!

Finally after I opened the account, got all the net info, and transferred money across, a week later, I opened the fixed rate.

    Maturity on 31st Jan.

Annoying thing is I forgot you have to leave £1 in the variable crappy one, so I have £1299 in fixed rate haha.

I've got 50K in one of their bonds maturing in February.
Wonder what the chances are of there being another fixed rate bond around 6.5% then - not a lot I would imagine. :(

Still I did, just in time, manage to get the Coventry fixed 6.25% 50 Plus eSave 5 before the offer finished today.:j

Nationwide's reduced rates (from Sunday) I think will push me into going for the YBS fixed 6.5% e bond.

Eeek - Web Saver Variable rate has been cut to 3.56%. Time to pull out I think.

They still got the 7% fix on this morning for 3 months.

I quite like the look of the 6% Guaranteed Saver Reward which is fixed and allows additional deposits. Got to have your current account with them for this one, which I have. Ideal for getting a decent fix later into next year when rates are falling ...

Time for a complete review of my savings strategy!

0.5% reduction is effective from today (Saturday).
