No, not a new board game, but the fact that the hotel where my brother has chosen to get married in Cuba is only used by Thomas Cook. Therefore, they can charge whatever price they like, and they do.
On ThomasCook.com the price for 14 nights (flying out 28th September) from Manchester to Sol Cayo Guillermo is 'from £739', so how come when you actually faff through all the booking process the final price becomes £849 plus a £55 'fuel surcharge' per person? I don't understand why this is the case, but it is very frustrating and duplicitous.
Now to be honest with you (my brother doesn't have internet access so I feel I can say this), this is not my idea of a good holiday (two weeks at an all-inclusive hotel, sitting by a pool and not seeing any of the local culture that I've flown eight hours for), so I'm not keen on shelling out so much money.
Does anyone have any ideas about whether I can cut the cost of this down? I tried looking into going for only one week instead of two, and it was only about 50 pounds cheaper!!
It's making me miserable, and that's not good at all a week before Christmas, so if anyone can help I'd be extremely grateful.
Thanks.

Is this the same hotel ?
Sol Cayo Guillermo LOCATION: Cayo Guillermo, Ciego de Ávila, Cuba
http://www.solmelia.com/solNew/hoteles/jsp/C_Hotel_Description.jsp?codigoHotel=5871
you can book this online via www.solmelia.com . They have a best rate guarantee but for your dates we are talking $200 per night (for 2) so maybe on reflection Thomas cooks price isn't so bad0 -
