I'd keep it and use it next time you visit that ASDA, therefore by buying their groceries with the money you are in effect giving ASDA the money back.

keep it! this happens to all of us at some point, they won't dock his wages unless liek someone else said, if it happens all the time, in which case they'd more likely give him warnings/suspend him, not stop his money

I used to work in Morrison's and can assure you that he won't get into trouble, in fact it is unlikely that they will narrow it down to one specific person, but rather a group of cashiers who had been using that checkout on that particular day. It is surprisingly common for cashiers to give out too much, or too little change, and supermarkets have an allowance for it. It is usually only when a till is down by £50 or more that an investigation is launched.

i might be wrong but think OP works in a supermarket and asking here if he/she could get away with it;) doing it now and then;)

how you lose receipt on same shopping day:mad:

if you give the amount and know that there will be no notes(70-67.48=2.52)

so you know there and then;)
Honesty is the best policy doesn't matter which web site
    you are on!

if i had known then what i know now!

a bargain is only a bargain if you really need it!

Once you've left the store incorrect change can not be rectified. Works both ways.

    Keep it.
  • Keep it but remember to check your change next time you go to that cashier.
  • afaik it is unlawful to stop the employees wages. People make mistakes, recruitment sometimes falls short, training sometimes falls short so it is a management problem.

They wouldnt stop his wages, all they would do is if its a concern eg if he does it alot then they might talk to him about it but thats all
  • Wages would not be docked, and as you are not allowed to serve friends and family it is obvious to me that the op is genuine. Do a good deed with it.
    Loving the dtd thread. x
