Has anyone received a letter from FSCS yet?
Its been seven days since they announced they were going to send forms out within ten days.
That means a deadline of Monday
Is this deadline likely to be met?

I don't see how you can moan. It's only 3 weeks since the event. The FSCS guarantee is within 3 months. They are talking about November payouts. How can you be angry. In the circumstances, I think they are doing pretty well!0

You should (hopefully) receive an email on Monday telling you how to access your account and transfer your money to your linked account
Thats the plan anyway!"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

They have said that they will start sending out communications on Monday.
Reports suggest that the first contact will just be a generic description of what the process will be and that at a later date, you will receive an invitation to make the transfer across to your linked account. This second communication will be staggered across all claimants (probably across several days and weeks) to smooth the load on the web-servers and allow security/fraud prevention measures to be load-balanced. They hope to complete 'the vast majority' of claims (sometime) in November, but some will probably be waiting in mid-late December. They are not expecting to use paper forms for most peope.0 -

"The automated payment process is expected to be in place in ten days time and the first payments are scheduled to start in the second week of November. We expect to offer compensation to the vast majority of retail depositors in November."0
