Iphone 2g 1.1.4

i have a problem, i have the 2G version that i have updated to 2 on itunes now i have lost ziphone settings and need to start again but don't know how to reset to 1.1.4 so i can re install ziphone. the phone is now back to original settings but ziphone wont install. please help i dont want to stop on O2

    PS Hacking (or more correctly unlocking) iPhones is not illegal, in fact many high profile users hack them, including Steve Wozniak.

    You are quite right isofa. I admit I did hesitate for a second before replying to this thread as I do tend to stay away from the requests for help with questionably legal intent but in this case I remembered that we're all above board when unlocking our iPhones. If not to reassure us completely, a colleague of mine bought his iPhone 2G from an Apple store in the States who unlocked it for him right there and then.

    Yes I agree, the word hacking usually conjures up all sorts of illegality, which would of course be against the forum rules ;) , but unlocking or jail-breaking an iPhone isn't illegal at all, but Apple do often release updates which relock them. :beer:
