i have a problem, i have the 2G version that i have updated to 2 on itunes now i have lost ziphone settings and need to start again but don't know how to reset to 1.1.4 so i can re install ziphone. the phone is now back to original settings but ziphone wont install. please help i dont want to stop on O2

PS Hacking (or more correctly unlocking) iPhones is not illegal, in fact many high profile users hack them, including Steve Wozniak.0 -
You are quite right isofa. I admit I did hesitate for a second before replying to this thread as I do tend to stay away from the requests for help with questionably legal intent but in this case I remembered that we're all above board when unlocking our iPhones. If not to reassure us completely, a colleague of mine bought his iPhone 2G from an Apple store in the States who unlocked it for him right there and then.0

Yes I agree, the word hacking usually conjures up all sorts of illegality, which would of course be against the forum rules
, but unlocking or jail-breaking an iPhone isn't illegal at all, but Apple do often release updates which relock them. :beer:
